July 18, 2007 [Subject: Project Proposal from Sponsor ]

Your homework one requests you to create a scope document. You can be creative about the Mid-Course System project proposal. Here is something to get you started. Make ample assumptions and be creative. Good Luck.

Project Proposal: PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

(click here to see more details)

Sponsor: Director of Project Management Programs

and Acting President or Board Members of BU's Project Management Association

Sponsor: See above. Default Sponsor is Dr. Sponsor.

Technical support: Prof. Vijay Kanabar

Faculty Mentor: Your facilitator

Prototype of the existing system is at: http://www.bu-pm.com/pma/ (Try it out to get a feel). Your website does not have to mimic this site. You can be creative. Additional functionality:

  • Registering people so that we can send them newsletter and updates. There must be password protection for the admin page.
  • In 2009 future Boston University plans to create its own bi-weekly TV shows on project management. The website will have a list of video conversations on project management. PMA will host archives of those PM TV shows. For sample data purposes create static hyperlinks to about eight Youtube.com videos on key word "project management". In the future we will replace such You Tube videos with our own videos.
